The Los Angeles Rams are SuperBowl Champions and what a game it was.  My previous post was asking if this Superbowl would be the cherry on top of a great playoffs thus far and the question was answered.  In a game where the Rams came out hot with Beckham Jr looking like he was about to have a monster game, he got injured and the Rams offense slowed all the way down.  Turnovers and a non offensive pass interference call got the Bengals back in the game with the lead.  However, Stafford and Kupp led the charge on offense while Donald anchored the defense to keep the Bengals at bay.  Earlier in the day I predicted that Donald, Floyd, and Miller would be too much for the Bengals defense and all 3 players had a sack in the game.  The Bengals were a young team going into the game of games and while some thought it might play into the Bengals favor, I looked at it from an angle where the Rams have been to the big game, but lost.  The Rams were a team determined to get it this year and it was easy to see with all the moves they made.  Not only did they make moves, they made the right moves and it's evident by the end result.  I picked the Rams to win it all from the moment they got Stafford and the additions of Miller and Beckham made it even more of a lock for me because despite the losing years in Detroit, it was easy to see what Stafford could do with the right team from the top down.  The Rams gave him just that and Stafford rewarded them with a gun slingers arm, accuracy, patience, and the type of leadership you like to see from your number one signal caller on and off the field.  He's one of a few to win a SB in his first year with a team, but even more as a 1st year player on a 1st year team in a 1st year stadium which in my view is definitely historic.  Stafford was already on track to make the Hall Of Fame, but adding this SB title to his resume' definitely speeds up the process for him.  A second one would definitely make him a 1st ballot pick, but even if he doesn't, I don't expect it to be a long wait once he decides to hang up his cleats.  This win also doesn't happen without the type of defense it takes to win championships and Aaron Donald led that defense to prove that statement true by taking over the game and then closing the game on fourth down as a defense should.  Whether he actually retires after this makes no impact on the fact that he too is HOF worthy with the type of career he's had as a dominating force on the field.  Kupp broke and set new records along with being the MVP of the game by stepping up in the biggest of ways once OBJ went down.  I saw a man on a mission who made every catch and run as if it was his last ever.  That was also a huge momentum shifter in the game and not only frustrated the Bengals defense, but even made their body language look defeated at times in between and after plays.  This game was indeed the cherry on top and also was the most watched SB in history with more viewers than even last years SB with Brady in it.  Sending a huge congrats to the Los Angeles Rams and fans for taking the title home this year in one of the most exciting playoffs that I can remember watching in my lifetime.
