The NFL Playoffs this year have provided some of the most exciting and intense games that I've seen in a very long time. There's always the excitement of the playoffs anyway, but when fans get the type of games that we've had thus far, it takes it up an extra notch. I think that most of us were counting on seeing Brady and Rodgers dueling in the NFC Championship game for a trip to Sofi Stadium, but as it turned out most of us were wrong. In a game where Brady did what he always does by getting his team in position for yet another comeback win to add to his legacy, Stafford and the Rams had plans to move on to the next round and did just that. For Aaron Rodgers it was yet another disappointing ending to a season where the Packers looking poised for a Superbowl appearance, but the Jimmy G and the 49ers had other plans in what looks like the last game played by both QB's with their respective teams. I've got some ideas where each one could be landing coming up in another post soon. The AFC games were just as good and especially with the fight and grit showed by the Bengals in their big upset over the Chiefs who has dominated the conference the last 3 to 4 years. Mahomes just wasn't himself in the 2nd half and credit to the Bengals defense for making him uncomfortable in the 2nd half. That bring us to the Superbowl where it'll be the Rams vs Bengals in a game that I'm kinda iffy about in terms of it being the best grand finale in a playoffs full of fireworks. That's not to say that I expect it to be a terrible game, but I think I'm not the only one that just doesn't know what to expect from this matchup and that at the same time makes it even more of a must watch. There's great storylines to be had from both teams involved. You have Stafford who spent 12 years with a losing franchise in Detroit going to a team where he was basically the missing link for that offense and then you have Burrow who suffered a horrendous knee injury his rookie year coming back in his 2nd year to lead his team to the big game. The Rams are clearly the big dog in this fight, but the Bengals are a feisty, scrappy team that has pushed all season saying "Why Not Us?" with a humble swag and a keep punching mentality that got them to where they are now. No, this isn't a David & Goliath type of matchup. This is a matchup of two teams who play until the clock hits zero in all 4 quarters. This is a matchup of two teams who's defensive lines rushed with passion in the championship games making their opponents QB's very uncomfy in the pocket while relying on their QB's to keep their cool and finish the job in which both did exactly that. On the flipside, this is a matchup where if the Rams offense gets rolling early and often then it could be a blowout because their defense is equipped to hunt the opposing teams QB effectively in order to protect the lead. Von Miller and Aaron Donald alone could turn this game on it's head, but Burrow has thus far shown he's far from laying down, but with being a young QB on the biggest stage will definitely bring some jitters because this is the one game, no matter who say's whatever is not "just another game." This is "The Game" to be etched in the Superbowl history books with a winner and a loser. The only thing I'm looking to see is if this game will be the the game of all games in this season and I also have to be honest in saying that I personally would like to see Stafford win a Superbowl and finally have his name in the HOF convo going forward from this game if the Rams should win.
