The NBA has been trying to find a way to come back since they initially stopped their season and fans have patiently waited to hear the plan. Conversations about a plan have been high during the stoppage, but nothing solid had come out of it until the announcement to play in Florida at Disneyland under "bubble" type restrictions. The "bubble" restrictions would keep players onsite at the NBA facility setup within Disney as they finish the season and go into playoffs without fans, but they planned to use crowd noise from the NBA2k Basketball video game in place of fans. I kinda thought it was a good idea to help the players feel a little more normal at least until they look into the stands from time to time. I can imagine how tough it would be considering that basketball is the one sport where players interact with fans multiple times during the game more than any other sport. However, it's looking like we won't be getting a restart by the NBA or get to see how that video game fan noise would've worked out. That's mostly due to the spike of Coronavirus cases in the state of Florida which of course raises even more concern about the players even being there. Then came the revelation from an owner who sent a text to Stephen A. Smith of the ESPN tv show First Take while a conversation about a "Plan B" for the league if Florida didn't work out. That text read "There was never a Plan B". So basically, the NBA planned on one window of opportunity to take one shot at coming back and that window has obviously closed in Florida. I think the season is done and I'm not too confident that they'll even try to finish this season at any other time. If that definitely becomes the case, then this lost season should be in a category of it's own and not lumped in with the 2 seasons that Jordan didn't play as some have already tried to suggest. Maybe there's another way in the works, but it's all a wait and see thing at this point.
