Was setting up Bitcoin Wallet on a ledger device. Found out something I have not investigated before. Heard of it but not explored. So I decided to look into it after I finished the wallet setup. Unlike other wallets. Bitcoin new wallet setup on ledger gives you fork options that for Bitcoin are cross compatible forked chains that stem from the main legacy chain.

I did a quick Brave Search for these "Labels" or "names" Native Segwit is for speeder transactions that led to the super fast lighting network fork but is not lightening network in and of itself. the Predecessor to Native Segwit is Segwit the original fork for speeder transactions. Taproot is for multi sig wallets.
EphemeralAtaraxia in the following Reddit article described in his/her blog that it is not necessary to use Taproot unless your looking to setup a multi sig wallet. This is how I found out via common sense and logic that is was not necessary for general purposes to setup Taproot. I consider this more a matter of taste how much security you want to use. Multi Sig remind's me when I was trying out Electrum wallet which I only recommend for small amounts of bitcoin. This is not financial advise but I would personally not use Electrum for large amounts of bitcoin and long-term storage.
In the following article is a discerption of how the Segwit was "strongly contested".
"the initial proposal known as SegWit2X was actually dropped and replaced with what we now know as SegWit."

Ledger is a highly secure hardware wallet that support more crypto tokens than Trezor's, in general. Another recognisable drawback of ledger is it is less open source Trezor. However Trezor does not have the double chip base layer of cybersecurity on it's device only has the single. Thier are more for's and against for each Hardware wallet which I will go into in a later article publication. Here is the article on Trezor VS Ledger that describes that. Scroll down for the security paragraph.
