The education of the youth is failing and leaving millions of people who cannot read or write at more than a basic childlike level unable to comprehend the world around them.
Emoji symbols, texting being the absence of complete words how will feelings explain to people complex problems? Our society is creating a new generation of humans who will be just like the Eloi of the novel The Time Machine by H.G. Wells. By changing the meaning of words which people never look up the definition of. they simple believe what they think is correct. Yet, many t times their understanding is completely wrong. Thus symbols are reshaping our society.
When words are turned into confusion by twisting the meaning and using symbols the people will not have the ability to comprehend meanings and will not be able to think beyond their limited ability to read and comprehend.
We are losing the ability as a society to read and write. Even my own writing is at a basic level and has many mistakes in publication and grammar and would have spelling errors if not for the spell correct feature. However, I do comprehend as I take the time to look up meanings of words I forgot the meaning or simply do not know. Yet, our society of the dumb and the dumber many people cannot understand what they read. Or in most cases they do not read.
These generation of under educated people suffer from poverty, violence, hunger, yet it seems smart phones, video games, social media have people captured peoples minds and limit their ability to think.
Thus people fall for the propaganda they hear from the "news" sources of experts say. That is not news that is propaganda. We can see the society falling apart with many paper submitted for "peer review" were simply published full of flaws, misleading info, unverified facts and simply incorrect in the assumption.
So just wondering! Is the move towards hieroglyphs a way to dumb down society? Why is education, not educating the masses? Symbols for speech, symbols for writing. How will future generations survive if they are not able to read, write and comprehend. The masses of uneducated will be the serfs to build and wait on their masters the educated. Just as the Catholic Church returned the world to the dark ages of control of knowledge so to this world is seeking to return the population into uneducated serfs to rule as they please.
In this the information age, where knowledge is increased, why are so many of the youth unable to read and write and comprehend? Even at this very moment of reading most of the people still cannot understand that the US Federal Reserve is debt based monetary system of slavery.
