A warm welcome to another Let’s Simplify Things! post!
In this series of posts about NFTs I’m attempting to provide you all the information you need to enter the wonderful world of NFTs as well as present to you projects I at least find interesting.

In this chapter I felt it is time to explore projects from other blockchains.
And what better project to start with than the Crowfolk!
Crowfolk is on the Solana blockchain.
For those unfamiliar with Solana I will simplify it by saying it is a faster Ethereum with much much much cheaper fees!
I have to say that I’m in love with the artwork of the Crowfolk!
It is uniquely dark and bright at the same time.
It is the good being born out of the darkness.
At least that is how I see it, I would love to hear how you find the artwork so feel free to add it to your comment!
The good news is that this is not just about beautiful art pieces!
You see the Crowfolk are building a game called the Nest!
The Nest is a hand-painted, traditionally animated non-linear 2D puzzle game.

That said I can tell you that the story follows two young songbirds who are pushed from their home by a violent storm shortly after having nested and laid eggs.
They seek asylum with the Crowfolk who accept them but Blue is incapacitated by the loss and Red tries his best to provide for their new nest with supplies and materials.
Did I tell you that the project has a fully doxxed team led by Ross A. Campbell, former DC comics artist and video game enthusiast, supported by Jason Silvert as community manager, Ryan Edward in marketing and Eddy Aguirre as developer?
Oh no I forgot… well you can now see why the art is so beautiful as you wouldn’t expect anything else by such an established artist!
Another thing I must not forget to let you know is that you should definitely visit the Crowfolk’s Discord server!
There you will find the ‘Acorn Economy’ where users govern themselves by appointing Councilmen and Magistrates weekly to reward outstanding members of the community and police the unruly.
The more Acorns you gather, the more ‘Vial” purchases you can make and the more in-game currency will be credited to your crow.
Oh yes and another thing you you should know is that by purchasing a Crow you will not only help in the game development but your Crow will be part of the game.
And each crow will have unique features that will be upgradable!
