Traveling has been a trend these days. From instagrammable worthy food to blogging travel trips on Facebook.
I'm not much of a traveler myself, but it is indeed satisfying and fulfilling to see places you've never been. Experience things that you never did. And so, this summer I decided to get myself the pleasure to travel not only on one island but on 5 different islands.
Last April 8, my co-workers and I visited the beautiful islands of Pagbilao, Quezon here in the Philippines. Of course, we were on a budget. Each person spend only Php 1,500.00 for the whole trip.
The destination is about 3 hours away from Laguna (where we stay) by car and before you get to the first island you have to take a boat for about 30-40 minutes.
Our first island destination is what they call the "Sandbar".
It was already high tide when we got to the first island so it can barely be seen.
Next was a 10 minute boat ride to "Kwebang Lampas". Personally, I have enjoyed this out of all the 5 islands. This is the perfect "Insta" spot for people who likes taking pictures like me.
After then, we have traveled for another 15 minutes to get to the 3rd island, Borawan. That's where we are actually headed to. The main event. The main purpose of the tour. And also, this is where we ate our lunch!
We stayed at Borawan for about 2 hours then we head off to our fourth Island, Dampalitan. If I were to choose between Borawan and Dampalitan I must say, Dampalitan is way cleaner and more or a tourist friendly spot. Unfortunately, we barely stayed there and we head off to the last island in which they call Manggayan/Manggauan(?) Farm where you have to walk on a bamboo bridge (which I really hate and almost killed me because I hate bridges and heights) to get to the place where you can enjoy the view of the sea and the mangroves.
I have put the link of the entire trip on my YouTube video, go check it out!
Our budget Php1,500.00/pax. This price is good for 15 people to achieve the price of 1.5k per pax.
4200-boat
2250-borawan entrance
1200-entrance dampalitan
