Well, this is not a definitive guide, but what I evaluate before getting into those really weird projects.
First, you need to know that it's always too risky to put money on these junk. Take care of your precious money!
Knowing this and that this is not an investment recommendation, I think it is interesting to always keep these points in mind:
1 - UNDERSTAND THE HYPE.
Often, influencers will use you to kick start the project, have the final liquidity for the price pump. It turns out that you understand and know that that project is not in the hype yet, it might be a good choice. I'll give you an example: many games released in the play to earn style are scams, but buying the token when the influencer makes the video as soon as the first withdrawals start, can be a good thing. You will only expose yourself in the token. No buying box.
2 - TRADING VOLUME
This is very important because usually high volumes mean you won't be able to make a profit.
3 - ETHERSCAN AND/OR BNBSCAN
Search the address of the contract and check who the biggest holders are. Also check sales to find the dump price.
Once you find an interesting wallet, search on some well-known search engines like Ape Board and De Bank.
And if you know how to use bots to alert you when there are important events such as sales and transactions, be sure to program these alerts.
4 - “TO THE MOON” - SUSPECTED CATTLE
It's amazing how these projects attract cattle. You join the group and if you ask some more technical questions or want to know something more detailed, the cattle will immediately start to moo and you will be silenced or expelled. If the group is very large without so many bots, it is worth investigating to see if the hype is close.
5 - DEGEN WALLET
If you're going to mess with these things, create a wallet just for that and send funds straight from the right one. Never let them find your main address.
Did I ever tell you not to use your main wallet for these things? It's good to repeat!
