Today I am going to write a poetry of Shah Abdul Latif Bhittai. Shah Abdul Latif Bhittai was a great sufi poet of Sindh. He wrote a huge series of poetry. His poetry collected in one book called "Shah Jo Risalo". Here I am writing a poem of Shah Abdul Latif Bhittai in Sindhi language. After then I will explain it into English language.
- سڌائتي سڀڪا، بک نہ باسي ڪا
- ،جيهي تيهي ذات جي، جنبش ڪانهي ڪا،
- مون سين هلي سا، جا جيءَ مٺو نہ ڪري.
Explanation
- In this stanza Shah Abdul Latif Bhittai saying that most of people are merely willing to meet with the Lord but a few people meet their Lord. Because of they are not empty by their greedy. To undertake this journey in that direction is not the job for all and sundry. No anyone who is thursty for the Lord but in their hearts they are very greedy for their own values, income, dollars, sweet homes, banglows even their own health. But here Shah Abdul Latif Bhittai is saying that hence such people alone may accompany me who attach not value to their lives and their comforts.
My own opinions
- From this poem I have learned that we should be greedy for anything. We should work freely for each other.
- When we pray for our Lord then we demand for our safety and for having so much wealth and money but this is not fair.
- We should pray freely without any greed. We should help others without having any greed.
