The Light Pollution

The Light Pollution

What would we be able to see without light pollution?
Light pollution is an alteration of the environment due to artificial light sources. Because of all this in the sky we can only see a part of the cosmos that surrounds us. Our eyes are able to distinguish a few stars, the brightest, in the presence of light. As we move away into an environment increasingly devoid of human intervention, we are able to see many more bright dots looking up at the firmament. This is because artificial light, being too close to us and therefore being too powerful compared to the light emitted by stars light years away, overcomes the magnitude of celestial bodies and oppresses them, making them invisible to our eyes. What would happen if the light pollution went off for a few minutes? An unprecedented spectacle would appear before our eyes. In fact, we would be able to see the numerous colors that characterize our galaxy and even observe an arm of it. The visible stars would be so many that they cover every point of our sky, probably leaving us speechless. Unfortunately, such a wonderful show is very rare and we should reach the most remote places on the planet (Or the most remote of the various states) where artificial light does not interfere with the vision of the universe.
