Job posting ...for hackers

By Sapi | Sapi | 4 Nov 2020

The number of hacker attacks related to the world of cryptocurrencies and blockchain technology has significantly decreased over the course of 2020. I think that is for sure a good news.

According to research conducted by Atlas VPN, the number of hacker attacks in the first half of 2020 was three times lower than the same period in 2019. This data is part of a larger report released by the company on October 28. For sure the year is not ended yet but it looks like a new trend to be taken into consideration.

Atlas VPN points out that 2019 was a record year for blockchain hackers, who carried out 94 attacks between January and June, while in the first half of 2020 only 31.

Overall, hackers carried out 133 successful attacks on blockchain networks in 2019.

Based on historical data, Atlas VPN analysts believe the number of hacker attacks in the crypto sector will continue to decline. It is not clear if it is due to greater security or lack of interest from them.

According to the report, hackers have managed to steal $ 13.6 billion through 330 cyber attacks since 2009.

Atlas VPN found that attacks targeting EOS were the most successful in terms of the number of breaches. Cryptocurrency exchanges, blockchain wallets and Ethereum are then the next most exposed.

What is your thoughts here ? Do you think hackers changed their mind ?

Would it be a job posting request from analyst :-) ?
