I have had the pleasure of being a Presearch user and community member since December 2019. Presearch is the worlds first decentralized and community driven search engine. Since having involvement with the project it has developed much as a community and also, achieved notable goals such as the launch of its revolutionary keyword staking platform and decentralized node powered search. The project is built entirely around the Presearch cryptocurrency an Ethereum ERC20 token which is used to empower Presearch users, investors and promoters. I'm going to give some of the primary reasons you should be using Presearch as your primary search engine, and how you will be empowered as a result of it!

Presearch has recently launched a new engine which is a great improvement on Dsearch which was the previous default engine for Presearch users. Dsearch was simply using a search API and was centralized with the Presearch team, however the new Presearch engine is a meta-search engine which delivers results from multiple engines, meaning that it is not a step down from any other search engine such as Google. The UI/UX is good with dark mode just released recently for those who prefer something softer on the eyes. It is also node powered- the Presearch team has utilized docker to enable any computer/virtual server which has the capacity to run docker to be able to serve the results for people when they use the Presearch Engine. This makes it decentralized and allows for anyone who contributes computing power to the Presearch engine to be rewarded in PRE on a minimum PRE token stake of 1000 tokens. This means that it is not just the Presearch team and business benefiting from the ecosystem but those who choose to power it as well. Currently only team members are running nodes on the Presearch engine as it is still in test net stage, however sometime soon (this month at the earliest) all the nodes on the test net will be transferred to the main net and Presearch will have accomplished its goal of being the worlds first decentralized search engine.  

Presearch is also king for privacy. This means that Presearch does not have power over its users personal data, which in the wrong hands can cause us great harm and shape our behavior. Your data is valuable and Presearch does not abuse the power it could potentially have by respecting its users privacy. This combined with empowerment of its users is through rewards- people get paid in PRE tokens when they search with Presearch currently 1 cent a search and as already mentioned people also get rewarded for node staking- is powerful. This brings me on to the primary use case and driver of demand for the PRE token- keyword staking. PRE token holders can stake their PRE against keyword and multi-word terms. This means that whenever anyone searches your term on Dsearch or the Presearch Engine your created advertisement shows at the top of the results. The traffic generated from keyword staking is currently free, I have been doing it for over a year and have received tens of thousands of free clicks for the website I choose to promote on the platform- this would cost me thousands of dollars on competitors such as Google. Even when the period for free traffic from keyword staking ends (July 2021 extended from January 2021 already) you would only be paying a small consumptive fee, nothing like the rates profit hungry Google charges. Say community members have a real issue with child porn or promotion of terrorism on the internet, the community could decide to have a team at Presearch funded via revenue dedicated to routing out such horrid search results. The community could decide to fund new initiatives for the growth and development of Presearch, the possibilities are big when the community takes over the governance of something as powerful as a search engine- having a say in how the gateway to the internet is run is no small thing!  This decentralization means that Presearch is for the many not the few, Presearch empowering its users with control over personal data, information and revenue.
