Time For Halloween in August? Spirit Says So

It's August, which can only mean one thing...Halloween is right around the corner. Nearly three months out, and you better get that holiday shopping done! What says cool fall weather like a swelteringly hot summer day. Anyway, the folks at Spirit Halloween said "let our pop-up shops begin." Being a sucker for such things, we had to check it out. This one was in a long-vacant spot in a town mall.

Now that's some solid signage! But if you're really dedicated, you'll know where to go. The greeters at the door were really quite animated, especially that Leather guy.

Once the bowling Bozo let us past, it was through the gates we went.

The Beetlejuice merchandise in particular is very strong this year, tons of good stuff.

Forgive the shoddy camerawork; I was so excited, hands were trembling. But yeah that's a collector's edition Beetlejuice Monopoly up there.

Never trust the living, especially when they're trying to get you to bite on a giant $120 sandworm statue for your lawn. We were tempted, but didn't shell out for it. Some people must have took the bait though, as there was only one left.

The usual franchises you'd expect to see were well-represented.

Mattel would have been foolish not to capitalize on the success of the Barbie movie. Was surprised at how small the selection for this brand was.

Did you know that these stores had an official candy bar?

...neither did I! And that's a sweet way to end this post.
