Three Days Until MONEY ELECTRIC Debuts

I guess I'm a little bit behind the curve, but I was recently inundated on my X account last night by trending posts about a new documentary set to make its debut on the streaming service Max on October 8th. Its name is really quite intriguing, and I'm pretty interested to watch it: MONEY ELECTRIC: THE BITCOIN MYSTERY. Cue the classic 80's Unsolved Mysteries theme song! Err, maybe the trailer is a better place to start:

I'm sure everyone here on P0x has read an article or two about the true identity of Satoshi Nakamoto, or perhaps watched a video or two on the subject. God knows there's enough of that floating around, and there has been ever since Satoshi disappeared back in 2011. I can tell you the best source for sleuthing and conducting your own research are Satoshi's posts from the bitcointalk.org forums. You can see his profile there and every single post he ever made when the project was in its nascent stages.

So, what will this documentary reveal? I don't know; I'm just as curious as everyone else to see. I personally think that we will be left with more questions than answers. It is interesting that as time goes on, the legend of Satoshi Nakamoto continues to evolve. Many people that may have had knowledge of the Bitcoin creator's identity are no longer with us: Hal Finney, John McAfee. There have been some, namely Craig Wright, who proclaim to be Satoshi but haven't been able to prove so beyond a shadow of a doubt.

No one has been able to figure it out thus far, so why should we expect this mystery ever to be solved? It's fun to speculate, but I truly don't believe the creator of Bitcoin will ever be known. My personal belief is that Satoshi is not one person, but rather a group of people who will forever remain anonymous. I think they would prefer it stay that way.

I am actually more curious if the release of this documentary will do anything for the price of Bitcoin. While it may not seem like a big event to the crypto world, it could intrigue and attract a whole new group of folks who may have been on the fence about Bitcoin. It's just a thought and something to consider. Then again, Elon's SNL appearance did absolutely nothing for Dogecoin.
