Welcome to the world of free crypto. In this article I will just look at some of the platforms I use. I know there are others out there and I must also make an honourable mention of the now defunct Noise:Cash that gave me a massive 3 BCH which sadly got squandered in the mess that we know as Celsius.
I have included referral links (not on P0x as you are already here :) ) more because it is the done thing to do, but feel free to use them or not as you prefer. The chances are that you are already using these platforms or have decided not to anyway.
So let's get on with it.
Publish0x
You are already here so I don't need to say much about it.
Publish0x (P0x) is a blogging platform which rewards both readers and bloggers for reading and writing articles. Five tips are allowed per day and the user decides on the percentage. Current tipping currencies are Optimisim and Etherium. For bloggers rewards can be higher based on the popularity of their articles and the tips they generate. No article can be tipped more than twice by the same user.
For those who only tip (and correct me if I am wrong) the yield is about $0.05 per day but it depends on the size of the tip and of course it fluctuates with price volatility.
Over the last four years P0x has rewarded me generously and I have never had any reason to doubt them and their intergrity. Even when there is a problem - for example with payouts - they are quick to inform and the support are actively involved in any discussions that are generated. Payouts are reliable and fast.
What's more there is a reliable reporting mechanism for questionable content that is put up from time to time.
My only issues are very minor.
I am not convinced by the downvote button because some people are just petty. I have written articles (and read others) where it is impossible (seemingly) to downvote because of the topic covered and the writing skill used and yet for some they find it necessary.
From time to time the P0x team change the tipping currencies and very often the choice is of some relatively unusable shitcoin like SPOT. I must admit this is in part because I don't want 50 wallets just to acquire a single currency (eg the KuCoin route). Having said that we must remember that P0x is a gift to the community and just maybe if we find ourselves in such a position we should be grateful and just wait until the currencies are changed and a more usable one comes up.
This is exactly what I did and when Optimism came along (available on Coinbase) I was delighted.
I have made genuine friends on here and as I have increased my blogging over the last few days due to a small space in my life it has been nice to reconnect.
Cointiply
I love Cointiply because it is so reliable.
Alongside P0x it was among the first sites I signed up to. As I have written many times before I do not trust any of the PTC ads but I click just to acquire my Cointiply Coins (10,000 = $1). Offers do seem to be a bit less generous than they were previously and game play is hardly worth it on a time spent / coins acquired ratio. When holding 35,000 Coins a 5% APY bonus kicks in which in applied weekly to your coins.
Coin acquisition based on just clicking the ads and rolling the faucet wheel averages out at 350-500 ($0.035 - $0.05) per day as the faucet is apparently "random" (I don't believe this because of the number of times 11,111 appears which generates an immediate re-roll) which is not the fastest.
But what I love most about it is that it pays out reliably and relatively fast and over the past four years I have probably taken $100 off it (remember gaming rewards were better in the past).
Lol I just checked as I reread this and it is exactly $100
I wholeheartedly recommend Cointiply - just be wary of what they advertise and always DYOR. They do have a reporting mechanism if you smell something fishy, but that is as far as it goes.
On the rare occasions when I have to contact support they have been fast and reliable and actually on each occasion it was me who made the mistake (to make a withdrawal it has to be confirmed through email and sometimes I forget - d'oh)
Finally with Cointiply Coins being tied so directly to a fiat currency it makes their model sustainable, which means more reliable and trustworthy.

FreeBitCo,in / Freeth.in
I started with FreeBitCo.in probably about three years ago and must admit that it is very slow going. A faucet wheel can be rolled once an hour and you are rewarded depending on what you roll. The size of the reward in BTC depends on the current price and so it is currently a never negligible amount. In a smiilar way to Cointiply a 5% APY bonus is applied once the user has acquired 30,000 stats and I was on course to achieve this last month until the sudden bull run on BTC which has reduced most rewards to a single SAT. While higher rewards are given it seems that they only occur about once in 200 rolls or so.
I am sticking in there because I am on 24,000+ Sats and I am determined to hit that 30,000 so the interest kicks in. I did read recently on here that one user moved some of his Cointiply Coins on to Bitco.in to ensure that he hit the magical 30,000.
I, however, am reluctant to do this even if the rewards prove to be greater in the long run. The reason simply being that Cointiply has a brilliant payout track record and I have yet to see if BitCo.in pay out. This is not a criticism it is just that I haven't made a payout request yet..
So better to have a certain payout than a probably.
With payments being tied to BTC and not the USD value like Cointiply, I am wondering if it will be able to payout if BTC prices go to the moon.
Based on current prices I am achieving 10-15 Sats a day with the occasional bump up with a bigger reward depending on the roll.
Freeth.in works on the same principles but I have only been using it for a couple of weeks so my comments are naturally limited.
Based on the same model, Doge and TRX are also available, but I haven't signed up for these.
So why not give them a go?
CoinPayU
CoinPayU is primarily a PTC website that rewards viewers for looking at adverts. I have been familiar with it almost from the beginning - primarily because of the Cointiply ads (but remember my scepticism concerning such ads - CoinPayU do actually warn users to be careful) and about six weeks ago I decided to give it a go. Apparently they used to have a faucet too, but this is no longer the case, Payments can be made in a variety of cryptocurrencies as well as spent internally on offers and I have to say I love the transparency in terms of fees charged.
Based on my experience of the last six weeks or so just clicking on the ads rewards the user with $0.08 per day which soon adds up and so its return is almost double that of Cointiply (based on clicking ads and the faucet only) and significantly higher than FreeBitco.in etc. It also outperforms Publish0x (sorry guys) if tipping only. Of course the situation is very different if blogging on P0x.
Please note I have yet to make a withdrawal, but having read around a bit it seems they are generally reliable and can be trusted even if there are problems with withdrawals from time to time.
No platform is perfect and at the end of the day it is free crypto so we shouldn't look a gift horse in the mouth.

My preliminary rating for the site is very high, but if I experience problems with withdrawals I might reconsider my view. This point brings me neatly on to...
BitCoinker
A couple of years ago I was looking to increase my flow of free crypto - Covid was still dominating our lives - I was working at home and there was no reason why I couldn't acquire my free crypto in the background while working.
When I googled Crypto faucets BitCoinker was occupying a key position in almost all the lists I came across. Simply click the faucet once an hour and hey presto a bit of BTC comes your way and once enough has been acquired they automatically send it to your wallet whose number you had given as part of your sign up (please note - not your keys - never share these).
I reached the threshold relatively quickly and for each click there was a pop up ad appear and there were a number of ads positioned around the page, but alas there was never any payout.
I abandoned them after about six months having not received a single Satoshi. It seemed to be quick - and maybe that was the problem . It was too good to be true. Call me a cynic but it is just a scam to get more ads in our face.
So there you go. I have total trust in Cointiply and P0x ( :) ) and while I have yet to receive a payout from the others I do feel particularly enthusiastic about CoinPayU.
As always stay safe and stay well.
