Those of you who follow me might recall that I went too far in with Celsius but then remarkably Celsius than revitalised my account when I received funds as part of the bankruptcy payout?
I received a relatively respectable amount in a mixture of BTC and ETH; not everything I had put in (including the free stuff from here / Noise Cash etc), but enough to put my head above water.
Almost immediately BTC surged and I swapped 0.025 BTC for staked USDC on Coinbase and there it sat. I was in a win / win situation. At the very least I was sit back and watch it stake at the very least at 5.15% (now increased to 5.20%). I then sat back and waited.
I was in no rush. It would come good for me when it was good and ready.
For a little while I did experience a bit of FUD, when I had my doubts about BTC returning to a value low enough for me to be able to leverage.
Then a couple of weeks ago BTC suddenly collapses and I almost literally rubbed my hands with glee.
I very rarely have perfect crypto moments but this was one of them,
I bought back my BTC - 0.026 in fact, and I know that doesn't sound a lot but I also effectively added more than $100 (still staking) to my untouchable, stablecoin USDC "Profits".
By my reckoning, although I haven't done the exact calculations I made about 10% on the single transaction.
My aim, since the last bear market, had always been to incrementally increase my BTC holdings while retaining profited in staked USDC so in that I have achieved my goal.
My initial aim is to get to the point where my staked USDC equates to my total investment amount and then build my first BTC
You might ask yourself if it was worth the effort having made only one tenth of a percent of a BTC?
That would be forgetting the USDC I leveraged out of the transaction, but it also means that next time I go, I will be able to use that additional 0.001 BTC and with the value of BTC being high (I just checked and it is worth $58.43) such a tiny percentage is not totally insignificant. I only need a couple of rounds to take my BTC up to 0.03 while extracting profit in USDC and then the whole process will snowball as I make it work for me.
So to summarise, I have made a lot of mistakes (most notably going in with Celsius), but this was a moment when I played it perfectly right.
As always stay safe and well my friends.
