We often talk about women's craftiness and malice while evoking women's gossip. Who says gossip, says more conflicts and controversies. 

My story today is inspired from real events, happened close to my social surroundings. The story may be current, because it may have been touched upon in movies or series. My story has three  protagonists, two women and a man.

There was a wonderful couple who gave meaning to true friendship, two close friends, Kalila and Dimna, who had spent years together in neighborhood and school as well . They rarely separated, they share grief before happiness, support each other during life's ups and downs . with the passage of time, having reached adulthood, Dimna met her second half, fell in love with her soul mate , and her story ended with marriage as any natural love story's happy end. 

Despite her marriage, Dimna kept her friendship with Kalila . Together, they continued their journey in life. They shared a lot of stuffs when there was time for Dimna, especially with her marital duties. Until  one day, an extreme quarrel affected their lives.

Dimna was always urging her friend to find a man to marry, but Kalila had not yet met the prince of her dreams, and she did not care about it much , because she thinks it is too early for her, and that time did not come yet to settle down. 

Dimna gets more and more vexed with her friend's provocative hints , as she always raises the subject of her late marriage even when they are with  other friends. She always bore her friends' mockery, but it sounds that Dimna exaggerated in her jokes and crossed the lines. 

One day, Dimna and Kalila were invited to another friend's wedding. The two beasties met at the  wedding as usual and sat at the same table. There were many conversations between the other guests . At one point, Kalila asked Dimna to lend her the phone because hers had run out of credit. Dimna started making fun of Kalila, because she did not have a husband yet who would provide  her needs, she began boasting and showing off the prosperity  she was living unlike her friend . This prank was the straw that breaks the camel's back, Dimna thought that she was just joking, she didn't pay attention to her friend's sullen face. 

Kalila was embarrassed and irritated at the same time by her friend's infuriating act ,  but she did not show it publicly, she swallowed her bitterness making up her mind to take revenge . She took the phone from her friend and made the call, but the matter did not end there, for Kalila decided to teach her friend a lesson, because she was fed up with her harassment and bothering , which had increased recently.

Kalila transferred her friend's husband's phone number to hers and then came back to her place enjoying the party, planning how she would play her revenge.

Days passed,  Kalila began to flirt with her friend's husband, she impressed  him , and  became attached to him a lot, then this admiration seems by and large to announce a new love story. 

she went on chatting with him for a month, while ignoring her friend's calls , she no longer meet her deciding to cut all ties with her . The husband did not know her at first, because there was no relations between them, kalila  saw him only on Dimna's wedding night. Days rolled, and Dimna's husband got used to chatting kalila, then, it became easy for her to seduce him. The man fell in love with Kalila. They go out together and spent more time away from Dimna's eyes. Dimna's husband confessed his love for Kalila and proposed to her . The latter did not think much about the matter, and quickly accepted the connection with the man, as she loved him in turn and did not feel remorse for betraying her friend's trust. She was justifying to herself that her friend was the main cause behind everything, because she pushed her to the edge to take revenge that ended with stealing her friend's husband.

Indeed, Kalila got married with her friend's husband , but of course her secret won't be hidden longer . A friend whom both kalila and Dimna share told Dimna about the relationship and explode the news that Kalila had stolen her husband. The shock was great for Dimna, as she felt betrayed by both her husband and her best friend. Dimna revolted and furious, decided to go to her friend's house to reprimand her for what she did. The shocking response came to her that she was the one responsible for what happened, and that she had to bear the consequences of her continuous mockery of her. She explained that she had never thought of betraying her, but having crossed the lines by looking down at her , she was raged as a result and her reaction was normal according to her statement. 

Dimna did not find the words to reply to her friend, as she was only telling the truth , she knew deeply that she exaggerated in making fun of her and in front of the others, and this is what kalila will never forgive her about .

Even after the husband found out about all the events that occurred, nothing  changed . He loved Kalila more than Dimna and decided to complete his relationship with her, and he did not care if Dimna would ask him separation . 

Kalila was very happy with her husband's decision and did not pay any attention to her friend, who is the main cause for what had happened. Her malice was the first step to revenge, but she was clever to benefit from the opportunity and redress the situation for her favor to win a husband and a happy life at the expense of her beastie's happiness. Well, she played it fair, and as we say, snitches end up in ditches. 

The magic turned on the magician. Demna's harassment and mockery were the first reason for the ruin of her household and  marriage. It was a hard lesson for her, but learning it cost her expensively, namely, her lost happiness.

In fact, Dimna made a mistake by constantly criticizing her friend and ridiculing her especially in front of the other people , after all, friendship is consolation and support in situations and not the contrary. Critics maybe accepted between friends discreetly, not revealed openly in front of the others . In the other hand, Kalila made a big mistake in taking revenge on her so called best friend, emptying her anger and pain, she maybe hurt deeply in her pride , but not to the extent to steal her bestie's husband, it was an overreaction that ends the beautiful bind between both of them. 

Friendship is so precious and rare,  it needs years to be constructed  through trust and respect , but to destroy it, it takes just a second in an eye blink. 

There is a thin line between love and hate, that's what broke the friendship of Kalila and Dimna which was an example among their friends, but when one side underestimate the other and go beyond the limits of disrespect and rudeness , it turns into deception and anger  . This is what happened to our protagonists unfortunately.
