SCIFI Future - Jet Packs

Whose childhood dreams did not include having their own Jet Pack and flying here and there and everywhere?  Well, that dreams inches closer each day.

Have a spare $450,000? You can have a custom suit built by 'Gravity' and become your own Iron Man (albeit in a bulkier suit)  If you recall this suit set a new speed record of @ 32MPH in England in late 2017.  So, if the $450K option is out of your budget (mine too), how about a 10-min test ride? That is exactly what the writer for Robb Report did. He had a 10 minute test drive going upwards of 30MPH, while the builder of the suits offers a 7-10-day course to learn all the nuances of the suit and the finer points of flying them at a cost of $50,000.  Or if that still doesn't fit your budget how about a one day long tester for $4,950?   Pretty sure none of those are on my Santa list!

In the USA the FAA has control of the air space and has tight rules over ultralight aircraft such as they can only fly during the day etc. Just last month an AA Pilot attempting to land spotted and called into the Tower he saw someone in a Jet Pack near LAX airport at about 3000 feet. Search is ongoing for this vigilante.
