The digital dollar is coming.

The digital dollar is coming.

It's been a really hard time in the world right now.

If you've been following the recent happenings in the world(and why shouldn't you? You're locked up in your house), you would have heard of the Corona virus.

Now I haven't talked about this virus at all because my content is mostly crypto related. But this virus has permeated all parts of our living, from our health to our habits, go our finances and even our relationships.

The virus is spread mainly through contact with infected body fluids or through the air should an infected person sneeze or cough. You can read all the deets about the coin on the WHO website.

However, one of the major ways of transmitting the virus is through contact with money. Money is something we all use in our daily lives, and we make contact with it everyday.

If an infected person passes money to an uninfected person, chances are the clean guy has been infected already.

The US government has decided to curb this by passing a bill for a digital dollar.

Now, this won't be your USDT or DAI. Remember they didn't say crypto dollar. They said digital.

The government has been against crypto from the start and will avoid any reason to turn to crypto for help.

However, once you are pushed to the wall, you just react.

So in a bid to still allow buying and selling, but minimise the contact with actual money, the US government has proposed that a digital dollar be put in place.

It would be more like the way we use money from our credit cards. The amount of digital dollar we would have would be directly paired to the value of our account, so it's not free money.

But still, this step by the government is in the right direction, and who knows? They might turn to crypto eventually in the future.
