In the past, it has been that whenever Bitcoin dropped this hard, at least 80% of the alts pumped to the absolute moon.
I mean, 300x pumps, all the way up to even 600x for some.
While I missed alt season myself, it must have been really nice for people who were sceptical and put $1 into a cryptocurrency to get $600 back.
But that was when the crypto market wasn't heavily manipulated, and Bitcoin was still young.
Now, we have whales with 13000BTC dumping on us, and an account holding 175000ETH, just waiting for the right moment.
We also have miners that own 30% of the hash rate, and a mining farm that puts out 50000 dollars of Bitcoin a day.
Needless to say, the market is heavily manipulated now, and alt season cannot happen like before ever again. It's the sad truth we must endure.
Now though, Bitcoin fell hard, but it also took most of the alts with it.
It doesn't mean any alts didn't benefit from the fall however. Some alts like HBAR, WRX and COCOS have seen multiple bull runs throughout the time Bitcoin has been flat on its face. I mean REAL bull runs, sometimes up to 98%.
What does this have to do with alt season?
It shows that many coins are losing their tight correlation with Bitcoin. It's an amazing thing.
Not everyone would partake in alt season though. Because not all the alts would moon.
As I said, a few alts have broken their correlations, and in the process gone parabolic, often giving back half or even the complete figure of investors money.
As usual, these alts weren't correlated with Bitcok from the beginning, but some like HBAR rose and fell in tandem with Bitcoin.
Now that HBAR has broken its correlation, the result is about 3 parabolic runs, each of the value 25%, 26% and about 54% respectively. The last one happened quite recently.
Alt season is coming. But only for the smart investors.
