We have made it! We have returned to our humble abode, by the sea, along Australia’s most easterly point. The wildlings are taking their time with getting their bearings, re adjusting back to what they left behind a few months ago. Walking around the garden, looking at the trees, listening to the birds...

They play the games they’ve played before whilst integrating new ideas they have picked up and developed over the last few months. They look at their toys, clothes and artworks and almost feel like it was a different person that lived here. They reconnect with their old selves and introduce their new selves. I have always encouraged my children to enjoy the present moment and when it’s time to move on also enjoy the process. To attach and detach, freely and gracefully. To love every toy, pencil, book, friends and also love to let it all go. As they know that is the flow of life. No stagnation.

There sure was a lot of overwhelming moments today in the household. From the children, from us parents. So we decided to pause the unpacking and hop on our bicycles. Pedal away the feels of busyness, the pressures of time to get things done, the mess! And instead be mindful of the present moment that we have made it home through 2000kms of driving, safe and sound. Reminding the children of practicing gratitude. Cycling has always been one of our favourite family homeschooling activity. The children are getting fit, the circulation working at its finest and the brain being stimulated from the sights and smells. Anytime we feel we need to uplift our energies, we cycle. Home is where the helmets are. We feel the most best when we are pedaling
