So I've been trying to learn to trade the last six months or so, and had, er, mixed success.
Initially a great start, up 50% after a month or so. Since the beginning of the year though, I've taken a bit of a kicking.
Risk management has kept me flying, but I somehow managed to break even over one of the biggest bull runs in years.
Anyway, I've kept a trading journal of
- every trade i took
- every loss i made
- every win I mismanaged
- a TLDR section of what I learned
and a 'things what i learnt' document where I have written up all my noob mistakes, and it occurred to me it might be interesting to share. Keeps me honest if I testify, and will hopefully mean others new to it can learn from my mistakes instead of making their own.
I thought I'd sound out interest beforehand, but honestly I'm doing it anyway. I always appreciate suggestions and the 40 Russian spambots that follow me on Twitter are surprisingly quiet on the subject. This post is partly to advertise it, but mainly to shame me into actually doing it.
I trade on Binance Futures (https://www.binance.com/en/futuresng/BTC_USDT ), but markets are markets by and large so the tips and mistakes should apply to anybody who gambles on wiggly lines.
So, new blog incoming :https://www.publish0x.com/wiggly-lines Consider yourself warned.
