Over the past weeks I’ve spent a lot of time digging into Chainers, trying to understand what actually has value in the game, what can be sold, and whether it’s possible to recover any of the money players put in. The more I explored, the clearer things became — and I think this is something every player should know before spending anything.
This post is my complete breakdown of how Chainers really works, what is (and isn’t) an NFT, and what you can realistically expect when it comes to value, selling items, and recovering your investment.
Chainers Is Fun — But It’s Not Designed for Profit
Let’s start with the most important point: Chainers is built as a play‑to-spend game, not play‑to-earn.
Yes, you can buy items. Yes, some items are real NFTs. But recovering your money is extremely difficult, and the game is intentionally structured to make spending easy and withdrawing value hard.
The official stance is always the same:
“Chainers is a game, not an investment.”
And that’s exactly how the economy behaves.
Most Items in Chainers Are Not NFTs
This is where many players get confused.
Inside the game you see:
-
Clothes
-
Style Points (SP)
-
Animals
-
Plots
-
Event items
-
Crafting materials
But almost all of these are internal game items, not blockchain assets.
If an item:
-
has SP
-
has “PUT ON / TAKE OFF”
-
doesn’t show a token ID
-
doesn’t appear in your wallet
-
doesn’t have a blockchain link
→ It is NOT an NFT.
These items cannot be sold anywhere. They exist only inside the game.
So What Is an NFT in Chainers?
A real NFT in Chainers has:
-
Token ID
-
Owner address
-
Creator address
-
Blockchain explorer page
-
ERC‑721 standard
-
Transfer history
When you open an item in the Chainers blockchain explorer and see all this information, then yes — it’s a real NFT.
For example, items like:
-
Pharaoh Top (Epic)
-
Astronaut Hat (Epic)
These are NFTs, confirmed by the explorer. They have rarity, SP, and a full token record.
Can You Sell These NFTs?
Here’s the tricky part.
Technically: Yes.
They are ERC‑721 tokens on the Chainers EVM chain.
Practically: Not yet.
There is no public marketplace for the Chainers EVM network at the moment.
Older Chainers NFTs (from WAX/EOS) can be sold on AtomicHub, but new EVM NFTs cannot be sold anywhere right now.
So even if you own a rare Epic NFT, you currently have:
-
no buyers
-
no price history
-
no liquidity
-
no marketplace
This is the main reason players feel confused — the game lets you mint NFTs, but doesn’t yet provide a way to sell them.
What Is the Potential Value of These NFTs?
Based on:
-
rarity (Epic)
-
SP (100)
-
transfer history
-
typical cosmetic NFT markets
-
demand for avatar items
A realistic value range when the marketplace opens would be:
$8 to $25 USD
for standard Epic cosmetics.
If the market launches strong or items become scarce:
$30 to $50 USD
is possible, but less likely.
If the market launches weak:
$3 to $10 USD
might be the floor.
Right now, the value is potential only, because you cannot sell them yet.
Is It Possible to Recover Your Investment?
Yes — but only if you own NFTs.
And only when the marketplace opens.
No — if you spend money on internal items.
Coins, LMS, BioPoints, cosmetics, boosters, passes… None of these have real-world value.
The game is designed so that:
-
spending is easy
-
earning is limited
-
withdrawing is delayed
-
NFTs are rare
-
liquidity is not yet available
So recovering money is possible, but not easy, and not guaranteed.
Final Thoughts
Chainers is a beautiful and creative game with a strong community and fun events. But when it comes to value, players need to understand the difference between:
-
internal items (not sellable)
-
real NFTs (sellable, but no marketplace yet)
If you’re playing for fun, the game delivers. If you’re playing to earn, you need patience — and realistic expectations.
When the official marketplace finally launches, the NFTs many players already own will finally have a real price. Until then, the best strategy is simply to enjoy the game and avoid spending money on anything that isn’t a confirmed NFT.
