My first 30 days in free crypto mining

By PlamenB | PlamenB | 21 Mar 2021

I am a very busy person with multiple projects on the go. And while this is by choice, I am not looking to change my routine. If you are as busy as me then this article might be just for you.

Because of my busy schedule, engaging in free crypto mining was always going to be a challenge. Previous experience with similar tools has taught me that if such additional activities make me too busy I would stop all activity altogether which would make the whole attempt pointless. So I had to think of a moderate approach. There’s also the dilemma of what else i could use my time for and it makes the whole thing harder. But to be fair the time and effort required for the tools I selected this time around seemed very small e.g. a few seconds here and there, in between other things. Having thought through all of this I was ready to begin.

To make it work this time, I decided to find options that require minimum time investment. If you are as busy as I am then my experience below might help you. I am sure that not all of my initial choices would be great but I had to stick with them for the first 30 days so I can evaluate how well they fit my routine and whether it is worth continuing. I expect that over time I will have to drop some of my initial choices and replace them with others.

Stormgain

30 day earnings: 0.00020316 BTC (9.92 USDT)

Ease of setup and use: very easy

Time investment: minimal

Earning: BTC which you have to use for trades. You can then keep any profit.

Overall rank: #4

Stormgain offers a free BTC cloud miner. The miner works for 4 hours. After that you have to go back to the app to restart the miner. The funds can be used for trading only however any gains from trading are yours to withdraw. On most days I would start the miner 3 times and on some days 4 times. The maximum in 24 hour is obviously 6 times but even if I managed to do that it would not be sustainable for me so I didn’t even attempt it. This is my top tool at the moment. However i have not made trades yet. So expect an update on this next time I write a post. If you aren’t Stormgain yet and are looking to try free crypto mining I strongly recommend it. You can get $3 free using this link.

Coinbase

30 day earnings: £34 in various crypto

Ease of setup and use: medium

Time investment: small(watch videos and answer questions)

Earning: various

Overall rank: #3

Coinbase doesn’t need an introduction. The app is built well and does a great job. They have introduced rewards which are given to you for learning about various crypto currencies. The rewards are limited but new ones will become available in the future. The time investment is relatively low due to it not being regular but you have to keep checking back for new rewards. You can get $10 free if you sign up via this link

Cointiply

30 day earnings: 0.00001913 BTC

Ease of setup and use: very easy

Time investment: moderate (roll the faucet, if you have time do additional activities)

Earning: BTC

Overall rank: #5

I was very sceptical of Cointiply. It looked designed to eat up a lot of time for very small rewards. My use of it therefor is limited. For example, I would not do surveys because they consume too much time. On Cointiply I use the Faucet for as many tries as I can manage every day and if I get some free time late in the evening I do some of the PTC ads. I am not sure if I will continue with the ads. They seem the kind of thing that will make me stop doing it at all.. Happy to keep it for now but will review next month. Having said that, if you could afford the time to do surveys then your rewards will probably be much higher than mine. Anyway, for me the jury is out for this one. I will review in a months time. publish0x

30 day earnings:  0.00033368 ETH, 1.2862 AMPL and 0.0049295 FARM

Ease of setup and use: very easy

Time investment: small (visit articles and tip - several times per day)

Earning: ETH, FARM, AMPL

Overall rank: #2

This site is clearly very useful in terms of getting information about crypto. But it can also help you earn some crypto. I like that it focuses on AMPL and FARM as well as ETH. It is too easy to always go with BTC which most sites do. The terms on here seem straight forward. It is what it is. You do tips for authors and you earn something too. Take it or leave it. Earnings aren’t very high but are yours, no games to play and no bets to place. If you don’t have an account sign up here

Pi (Mine Pi)

30 day earnings: 80 pi

Ease of setup and use: very easy

Time investment: very small (one tap per day)

Earning: Pi

Overall rank: #1

Pi is a new and exciting way to mine crypto from your phone. And for that reason alone I think it’s worth joining sooner rather than later. Currently at around 14 million members it clearly generates massive interest and is bound to be huge in the future. As the network grows the mining speeds will decrease and will eventually go down to 0. Sounds familiar? It sure does to me, so I am giving this a chance. It is key to create your own mining team. The sooner you start the better chance you have. They allow me to gift you 1 Pi if you follow my link. To get 1 Pi for free use this link

[Late Entry] FreeBitCo.In

30 day earnings: (estimated) 0.00001108 BTC

Ease of setup and use: very easy

Time investment:  small (one tap per hour)

Earning: BTC

Overall rank: #6

I am quite disappointed with this one. I thought it will work OK because it works in 1 hour intervals and I can do it along with Cointiply. However while Cointiply often gives you higher number rolls (and so higher awards) this site seems to always give me the minimum award (I’ve done more than 60 rolls at the time of writing). The earning here is estimated because I’ve only used it for a week. My plan is to complete 30 days and if the earning remains as low this will be the first one I will drop. Any way if you wanted to give it a try follow this link

[Free time entry] SweatCoin

If you like to walk like me then this is a must have for you. I’ve been using it for over a year and I am very happy with it. SweatCoin rewards you simply for the steps you make. You earn sweat coins which you can use to buy offers from an ever updating list. If you earn well over time you can also participate in the auctions for great rewards like Peloton bike or $1000 gift cards from shops like Nike or Amazon. Overall, if you walk at all, there is no way to not benefit from sweat coin, one way or another. Sign-up using this link to get free sweat coins.

I hope you find my experience report useful and if you have any suggestions and comments please feel free to add.
