It's been a bit since my last update, so I thought I'd share what I've been up to lately. To be honest, I've been caught up in the usual chaos of too many substances. My new drummer has brought some wild times, especially after we discovered some Xanax bars while digging through her drum set in storage. In a moment of poor judgment, I crushed up a whole one—definitely not something I recommend! If it had been a Xanax, I might have been fine, but whatever was in this one was a mystery. I know what you're thinking—fentanyl—but with my tolerance, I would have been okay. Anyway, I lost two days and woke up feeling like I’d been in a brutal bar fight. I think I fell off the porch a few times, and from what I can remember, it took me three tries just to get off that small step!
Jokes aside, I promised myself I was done with that lifestyle. Last band practice was a rough one, and thankfully my girlfriend was there to make sure I didn’t choke on my own vomit, or I wouldn’t be here writing this. Addiction can really be a struggle, and it has definitely impacted my productivity. I recently celebrated my 44th birthday, and I know I’m too old for this nonsense. It’s funny how the 20-year-old me was so strong and clean, while I feel like I’ve gone backward, and I’m not proud of that. But enough about addiction; I’m considering starting a more honest blog about my experiences with drug use. There’s something freeing about sharing the truth, but I’m curious about who came up with the idea that it sets you free.
On a brighter note, I’ve got a new drummer named Brandy, and she’s incredibly talented! We’ve been working on new music, albeit not as quickly as I’d like, but we did manage to release a new song called "Elvira." You can check it out here:
Oh, and I’ve also started a radio station, which is really the main focus of this blog. I’m excited to share more about that soon!

I want to make it the start of a community website I've had in mind where bands can exchange info and help each other out. Well, that's the idea I've been trying to develop. I know I've stocked up some valuable info; maybe another artist might find it helpful. Just a place where you can freely exchange that info because there are so many websites and people trying to profit off of musicians, and I'm sure you know what I'm talking about. I get emails all the time from radio stations wanting to charge me to play music or blog write-ups or magazine articles offered in exchange for some cold hard cash.
Well, there's never been a more rotten time in music to try to profit off of independent artists because its never been harder to make money than it is right now. And it's across the board; the big artists don't make what they used to as well because everyone wants music free or expects it free, especially your friends, or at least my friends do. Maybe you have it better than me, and if you do, good for you; no hating here. I really think we really need to work on that as humans, because not just in music, but I've found in everyday life there's never been more people hating on people instead of being happy for them. That's a real problem, at least from my point of view.
Well, without further ado, I give you the real reason for today's blog entry: backlinking. And if you dont know what I'm talking about, tune in next time because backlinking will be the topic of the next entry. As always, this isnt financial advice and for heavens sake, dont do drugs; its not cool Every single drug user i know, including myself, wished they had said no so kids do yourself and me a favor and skip that detour, because trust me, if it dont kill you, it will be at least a ten-year setback at best There's some truth those rappers arent telling ya!
