This morning I fired up my XEN minting machine on two different chains — BASE and Optimism. The cost? Ridiculously low. On BASE, I added 23 XENFTs, each costing $0.04, with gwei set to 0.00055 — the whole batch didn’t even cost me $1. Waiting time: 525 days.
On Optimism, I’m minting 128 VMUs at $0.0006, with gwei set to 0.0000083, and using the max term of 518 days. I'm going full speed, minting as much as time allows.
But here’s where things get interesting: AMP.
-
On BASE, AMP = 2329
-
On OP, AMP = 1
What does this mean? A massive difference in the rewards. For practically the same cost, BASE will give me multiples more XEN upon claim.
BASE vs OP comparison:

VS

To sum it up:
🔵 BASE = low cost, high AMP, long term, excellent yield
🟠 OP = dirt cheap, but nearly no rewards with AMP=1
Let the printers roll, and let time work in our favor ⏳🧠💥
