Regulated Banks & Crypto

Banks now have the go-ahead to hold reserves for Stablecoins; news was reported on Cointelegraph that US Federally regulated banks can essentially back derivatives known for being a 1:1 peg to the U.S. Dollar. ¹

What this means? -- Loans, transfers & other business transactions can potentially become cheaper and quicker in the near future.


A couple months ago, the Office of the Comptroller of Currency (OCC) for US dollar gave Chartered banks the ability to custody Crypto², which was the frame work for Kraken securing the first federally regulated chartered US bank earlier this month.³

What this means? -- We're one step closer to transferring Bitcoin and other Crypto with U.S. National banks.

Conclusion: My investments are actually pretty heavily skewed toward the industry that profits from news like this (loan makers); but I have previous articles (linked here) that talk all about that.
