I am in no way suggesting that climate change is not upon us, but human ingenuity has repeatedly averted many a crisis. Without optimism and effort humanity is indeed doomed, but we have been here before and have overcome seemingly overwhelming odds. DNA analysis suggests that we are all descended from a few thousand individuals. Malthus predicted massive famine and Ehrlich said:

“The battle to feed all of humanity is over.” And humanity had lost. In the 1970s, the book promised, “hundreds of millions of people are going to starve to death.” No matter what people do, “nothing can prevent a substantial increase in the world death rate.” None the less we must reduce the CO2 in the atmosphere.

Thousands of scientists and engineers are working on this problem and solutions are insight, but little credence is given to this effort good news it seems does not sell. I am posting this quote hoping it will encourage others to read and take note.

"Researchers at RMIT have developed a new method for quickly converting carbon dioxide into solid carbon, which can be stored indefinitely or turned into useful materials. The technology works by bubbling CO2 up through a tube of liquid metal, and it’s designed to be easy to integrate into the source of emissions."
