I set out today ready for a new phase of life,
mama called me and said,

My dear,
you are the driver of your life, not anyone's passenger
you are in control of looking forward
and the things that must be done.

You are the pilot to your aeroplane,
make sure to fly as high as you can.
Only compete with the person you were yesterday.
Life is what you make it so plan it wisely.

Hopes and dreams may not come
as quickly as you have imagined.
This is a journey that will be full of ups and downs,
you will gain and learn every day.

The brighter side is always forward,
do not look back at mistakes
and sit in regrets because of a wrong step
always get back on your feet and move on.

For every beginning there's an end
for every start there's a finish.
Hold on to your accomplishments no matter how small
and even tighter to the ones that you love.
