From the deep cuts to the unstoppable bleeding,

the traumas to the damages,

all building up wounds on the body.

The sharp pricks, the long bites,

the hurting pains, and the weak body,

they are all wounds, causing injuries to the body.

Gradually, the process of healing starts,

from the discomfort of the body,

to the deformation and then the reformation,

the gradual transformation from pain to healing,

dead cells birthing new ones,

to form scars that serve as the reminder of our experience.

Yesterday's wounds heal today and become scars,

for the story of tomorrow.

Though with sadness and sorrow,

we bear our pains today,

we have hope for tomorrow,

that our wounds will heal.

And when we shall tell the story,

we shall narrate it with joy in our eyes,

we shall tell of how we survived the hurts

and earnestly looked forward to our healing.

We shall turn our dirges to lyrics

and encourage others to embrace their wounds,

so that they also shall tell their story tomorrow.
