No doubt, David Moyes' time at Manchester United would always be frowned at by many but he got the job after his exploits with Everton and after leaving Manchester United unceremoniously, he is doing a fantastic job at West Ham and it's funny to see even some Manchester United faithful screaming for him to come back with the terrible form they have been on with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

We knew this would be a tight affair between West Ham and Liverpool but going with the current form and how they easily dispatched Manchester United and Atletico Madrid, you would put your money on Liverpool to get the better of West Ham but they got a rude shock of their lives thanks to the brilliant effort of David Moyes' men.

Alisson's own goal with goals from Fornals and Kurt Zouma made up for West Ham goals while Alexander Arnold and Origi got the two goals for Liverpool as Liverpool surrendered to a 3-2 loss at the hands of West Ham.

Liverpool went behind as early as the 4th minute as Alisson slightly bundled the ball into the back of the net following a lovely delivery into the box from a corner kick by Declan Rice. He was screaming for a foul but the referee wasn't having any of it.

Just before halftime, in the 41st minute, Alexander Arnold got Liverpool back on level terms with a sumptuous freekick just outside the box that left the goalkeeper rooted on the spot. It was beautifully executed. Both teams had opportunities to add to their tally with Declan Rice striking the crossbar and Mane's shot being saved by the goalkeeper right inside the box.

West Ham finally got ahead and Liverpool cracked after Bowen ran the length of the field with a piece of individual brilliance and found Fornals. Fornals did all he could to get the ball into the back of the net despite Alisson getting a touch to his effort but the ball rolled into the back of the net to give West Ham a 2-1 lead in the 67th minute.

West Ham got a healthy lead in the 74th minute after Kurt Zouma was left unmarked at the edge of the post from another brilliant corner kick delivery. He headed the ball into the back of the net away from the frailing arms of Alisson. Liverpool won't go down without a fight as Origi responded in the 83rd minute to create a tense finale. He turned and blasted a half volley into the back of the net to give hope to Liverpool but it wasn't to be.

Mane could have snatched a draw for Liverpool right at the end of the game when Alexander Arnold found him at the near post from a freekick but his header missed the base of the right post by just a margin. You would have bet on Mane to bury that chance. The game ended 3-2 and West Ham got a famous victory and their form this season has been fantastic which saw them move to 3rd on the log, levelled on points with second-placed Manchester City.
