Most people have mastered the art of receiving without giving
They feel the universe owes them a lot and they keep hiding
We are all hurting differently and individually too
Life deals with everyone regardless of your wealth and status
Whether your skin is brown, light or dark - Life deals with us all
The degree to which we are at the receiving end is what varies
Tend to the broken heart and provide a shoulder for others to lean on
Lift up the wounded and help with the band aid of soothing words
Most people don't require money at all but a shoulder to lean on
Hold someone's hands and assure them that it would be alright
Give someone a deep meaningful hug even if you can't find the word to say
A lot of people can get out of a deeper mess when they know they are not alone
No one can make it out here in this world alone - we need one another
The world doesn't revolve around you, stop making it sound as though it is
The world doesn't owe you anything but we owe it to each other
To guide and guard each other through those dark moments
Dark moments would always come, it's not a matter of IF but of WHEN
Who you have in your corner when it comes would make all the difference
