Nothing is cast in stones when it comes to football. Football will always surprise you. Just when you think a match is a walkover for a team, you'd be surprised to have more shocks in the locker. Nothing is certain when it comes to football as the unexpected can happen.
I was expecting Chelsea to beat Everton only for the shock to happen. Everton hasn't won in a while and they bounced back in good time and best Chelsea with a single goal. Chelsea did all they can, struck the crossbar too but it wasn't meant to be. Everton won with a single goal.
Tottenham with Crystal Palace was another shocker for me. I expected Tottenham to win with their current form. I expected a rout when they first got the lead through Harry Kane only for Crystal Palace to pull up that surprise.
Crystal Palace showed flashes of their brilliance and caused Tottenham a lot of troubles. The dominated for a long spell too and got the reward for their efforts when they drew level. The match ended 1-1 to the frustration of Jose Mourinho.
Another shocker was the Fulham versus Liverpool match. I expected Liverpool to use Tottenham's slip to move up to the first position but Fulham had other plans. They took an early lead and were content to hitting Liverpool at the break.
Liverpool couldn't break their resilient back line and it looked like another away game nightmare for Liverpool.
For the past 5 away games, they have only won once, lost by a wide margin to Aston Villa; 7-2 and drew the other 3 games.
That away form continued when they were given a lifeline to get something out of the game with the penalty they got from a handball inside the penalty area which Salah duly dispatched.
The match ended 1-1 and Liverpool's woe on the road continues...
