Heads up, shoulders high,
high heels, flashy nails, red lips,
glamorous faces, broad hips;
honourable ladies of the century.
Nice plaits, decent and fine dresses
Simple, natural, good looking,
innocent and favourable princesses;
feminine and soft fine girls.
But there exist some fine girls,
masking up to hide the burdens on their shoulders,
which they've found no one to bear,
exposed to the harsh climate and living bare
fending for themselves and their families,
feeding on daily crumbs of bread
trying to build their crumbling worlds
Fighting hard to find a life,
yet forcing smiles on their faces to tell the world "I am fine".
Heads up, shoulders high,
all the fine girls are aiming high,
all the fine girls ain't giving up,
no matter their portrayals,
there will be hard times,
for no gold glitters without passing through fire,
no girl becomes fine with facing challenges,
but tough times don't last, fine girls, do.
Wake up girlie, shake off the burdens
and focus on the future,
when the world will stand in amazement
with their mouths agape,
as you climb up to your peak.
Don't forget to pitch your voice high
even when they say you can't fly,
Look at yourself in the mirror and say
" I believe I can fly higher than expectations".
I am fine not just because of my face,
I am fine because I came out fighting and I won.
I was built from the inside.
