Yesterday, you opened your sights
and gazed upon the earth lukewarmly,
but the earth knew you were well
and hoped you will smile with glitters.
But suddenly, you shut your eyes
and everywhere turned black,
without further ado, you made a release,
as a giver freely gives with ease
and blessed the earth heavily
with overflowing rain.
Then you left us shivering
as those encamped on an Iceland.
And today, you opened your eyes
and peered through the windows
to announce your arrival to us.
You have gathered the brightness of yesterday
and that of today, to shine with strength.
You smiled joyfully at us,
filled us with warmth
and as ever, gave us a reason to be strong,
resolute and optimistic.
And then you left our hearts,
pumping for not only blood but for love.
But tomorrow, we know not what we should expect.
Should we expect your blessed downpour
or your soothing warmth?
Should we bring out our clothes to your warmth
or keep them for our warmth?
Should we look up to your smile
or gently await your cascading blessing
to flood our hearts with chills.
Whatever it is in your mind for tomorrow,
we hope it perfectly suits our desires.
