The only purpose for any altcoins is to collect them and convert them to Bitcoin when Bitcoin drops. That is their ONLY real purpose.
It is only after collecting Altcoins for 2 years that I have come to this conclusion.... the only Altcoins worth anything are the ones I converted to Bitcoin when it dropped.
