This timeline was confirmed during the most recent Ethereum AllCoreDevs call. Ahead of the mainnet release, the Fusaka upgrade will undergo thorough testing on Holesky, Sepolia, and Hoodi testnets from early October to mid-November.

The centerpiece of Fusaka is EIP-7594, also known as PeerDAS. This protocol is expected to double Ethereum’s network throughput, delivering a significant scalability boost.

Additional highlights include:

• Data efficiency improvements: Blob storage capacity will expand gradually over a two-week period, moving from 6/9 to 10/15 and then to 14/21, further increasing Ethereum’s ability to handle growing demand.

• 11 new EIPs: Fusaka introduces a broad set of enhancements designed to improve scalability, efficiency, and the developer experience.

• Security assurance: The Ethereum Foundation has launched a four-week audit program with a $2 million bounty to identify and resolve vulnerabilities before the upgrade goes live.
