Previously I tried to make my titles interesting, similar to something you'd expect to find on a book cover, but for this occasion ill keep both the title and article simple: no metaphors (or the other stuff which makes the article complicated) and, sadly, as well as with difficulty, no movie references.

And with that lets begin what brought us here.
I've not been an author for long to see the long term benefits (and negative side) of being one, but so far I've seen enough to share.

My first article (as an author) is only 20 hours old and my second (and latest before I post this one) is 17 hours old, I'll be basing off those two for my remarks:

THE DARK SIDE

While doing my author application, I thought I'd be having like 2 views once a month (those views being moderators) but it turns out that new articles are sought out by readers (I don't really know why, I think they pay more) and therefore in my first 20 hours on the platform as an author, I reached a combined number of views (for both articles) of
.. *imaginary drumrolls ...

315 views! Which is way more than I what I expected to receive (but probably less than what you expected to see). 

So ... if I received 315 views why would I put it on the dark side, 315 is not bad (and indeed its not), so why put it on the dark side? 
The answer is simple: ( you might even already know it -or be part of it ) those views don't mean a thing, especially since I know all most of these people did was skip the whole article, scroll down to the tip section, and return to whatever other activity they were doing.

And ... its just getting started, you probably already know what follows after the 10 minute timer is over and you can TIP again (there is a 90% chance your about to do it on this same article), your finger (or cursor) hovers over the slider and slides from right to left until it can't go any further, and, subsequently changes the text from "80% to author, 20% to you" to "10% to author, 90% to you". And you can imagine the result if around 300 views out of 315 did that.

REGRETS
Because when the hammer falls, it doesn't care what it hits. It just falls (Its too hard not to use them!! :(          ). At last, I must take a decision, do I regret becoming an author?
 
YES.
Why?
Because am just kidding.

Truth is: No, becoming an author was the smartest thing I can remember doing. Its true that most you guys don't read the article themselves (and it's okay (for me it is), it's your choice after all) but seeing any number above 10 written next to views, is enough to make me feel like a famous movie director, and so, I must say thank you to anyone who visited any of my articles. 
Now, the tipping. Both my articles combined made 0.06 USDC (it may not seem like a lot, but it is in my eyes), and as you may have concluded I did not make 0.06 USDC. I don't know how much exactly I made from the articles (I can't remember how much I had before I published my first article), but however much I made, am happy with it! I inested nothing but am definetly making more than nothing, and that's all I need. 

To conclude, I thank anyone who visited my articles and tipped, however much you tipped, it doesn't matter because after all 0.0000000001 will always be greater than 0.
