I know you have read these recommendations a hundred times, but it never hurts to see them one more time. Please, disseminate them to everyone you think is convenient.
We can beat the coronavirus!
Wash your hands frequently
Wash your hands frequently with an alcohol-based hand sanitiser or soap and water.
Why? Washing your hands with an alcohol-based disinfectant or soap and water kills the virus if it is in your hands.
Coughing or sneezing into the elbow
When coughing or sneezing, cover your mouth and nose with your elbow bent or with a handkerchief; throw away the handkerchief immediately and wash your hands with an alcohol-based hand sanitiser, or with soap and water.
Why? Covering the mouth and nose during coughing or sneezing prevents the spread of germs and viruses. If you sneeze or cough by covering yourself with your hands, you can contaminate the objects or people you touch.
Maintain social distancing
Keep at least 3 feet (1 meter) away from yourself and others, particularly those who cough, sneeze, and have a fever.
Why? When someone with a respiratory illness, coughs or sneezes, projects small droplets that contain the virus. If it is too close, you can inhale the virus.
Avoid touching your face
Why? Hands touch many surfaces that may be contaminated with the virus. If you touch your eyes, nose, or mouth with contaminated hands, you can transfer the virus from the surface to yourself.
If you have a fever, cough and shortness of breath, seek medical attention NOW!
Please tell your healthcare provider if you have had close contact with someone who has traveled from a particularly contagious risk region and have respiratory symptoms.
Why? Whenever you have a fever, cough and shortness of breath, it is important that you seek medical attention immediately, as these symptoms may be due to a respiratory infection or another serious condition.
Avoid eating raw or undercooked animal products
Handle raw meat, milk and animal organs with care to avoid cross-contamination with raw food, in accordance with good food safety practices.
