Mojang *BANS* NFTs from MINECRAFT

By HRjobber | NFTParadise | 23 Jul 2022

After a post on the official Minecraft website, Mojang stated that it would stop allowing the use of NFTs nor wants to use any blockchain-related technology.

This will affect many because many servers rewarded players with NFTs for their achievements, this will also prevent scams and shady stuff from further happening. Also, people could list their items on websites to sell them as NFTs and get them rated on that website.

Mojang stated:

"As such, to ensure that Minecraft players have a safe and inclusive experience, blockchain technologies are not permitted to be integrated inside our Minecraft client and server applications nor may they be utilized to create NFTs associated with any in-game content, including worlds, skins, persona items, or other mods"

This can be seen as a big hit for the future of NFTs because a big company stops their use on a successful title. The items that are already listed will lose their value and the whole market may see some decline because of that statement. As we can see Minecraft will not use NFTs and blockchain technology for the foreseeable future but we can remain hopeful that sometime this might change and make the game rewarding again.
