Lawyers representing Ira Kleiman have said that Craig Wright, who claims to be Satoshi Nakamoto, has the private keys linked to 820,000 Bitcoin (BTC), according to court documents published on May 21. 

The document makes a lot of claims about Wright, including one allegation that he has repeatedly lied under oath and submitted forged evidence. It also claims that Wright has “obstructed the discovery process and Plaintiffs’ attempts to prove the scope and extent of the Satoshi Nakamoto partnership” 

The prosecutors argue that, since the addresses provided in court have seen transactions, Craig must either have had access to them or is lying. The document reads,

Wright’s refusal to open the encrypted file strongly suggests he knows that its contents will include partnership records, support the existence of a partnership between Wright and Dave Kleiman, and that the 820,200 bitcoin on the CSW Filed List (or other comparable amounts) belong to the partnership, as well as the blockchain related intellectual property created before Dave died.

Wright faces new complications in his legal case following the movement of 50 BTC from an 11 year old Bitcoin wallet. Much discussion followed this transaction, of which a little was sent to CoinPayments and Coinbase. Calvin Ayre, known to be somewhat close to Wright, has denied that the transaction was made by Wright.

The trouble for Wright is that the address linked to this transfer was one of the many he had claimed to possess, as per his court filings. This would mean that Wright has access to the Bitcoin, which he has denied - amid many strange turns of events in his case. 

The case will see trial on July 6, with time left for Kleiman and Wright to settle the matter out of court.
