Ferrari released its Foiling Yacht
Over the past several months the news reports coming out of America showing the "K" shaped economy have been ramping up.
What am I talking about?
The divide between those that are thriving versus surviving versus getting crushed are getting worse. This is not just a rich versus poor discussion the entire US Middleclass is being destroyed. This is taking an emotional toll on individuals, families and those giving up searching for employment. I will not dive into the all the factors involved, my goal for this blog is to highlight hot the Top 1% or maybe the Top 5% are living as they are not impacted by the "K" shaped economy.
Ferrari released its Foiling Yacht
A self powering Foiling Yacht which is 100-feet long (about 30-meters) in length. Designed for ocean racing which is built on a carbon monohull architecture which produces ALL of its own power while underway! Which will redefine ocean navigation from here! Some industry experts are already call it the 'Flying Sailboat'.
Not just a branding exercise this is a joint development
You have industry forces such as the Ferrari Tech Team (led by Matteo Lanzavecchia and Marco Guglielmo Ribigini), the Ferrari Design Studio (headed by Chief Design Officer Flavio Manzoni), AND the global naval architect Guillaume Verdier. All working together to create an extraordinary platform. One could consider this an open innovation platform, will this be licensed by other Yacht makers too?

Noticeably, the Ferrari red is missing. The paint color because it’s yellow!
Pricing & Availability
The Hypersail is a one-off prototype, not a production yacht, so there’s no public price and no order book. It’s slated to launch from Ferrari’s Pisa shipyard about September. Know that rigorous sea trials will follow ahead of an eventual run at major ocean records. The project was on display at the Ferrari Flagship Store in Milan back in April and has been removed from display.
Summary
Ferrari's Foiling Yacht is the first foiling monohull to achieve complete energy autonomy. I didn't realize there was an unfilled niche for ocean racing. I guess air travel is trivial now so we have to race across the oceans. I've never ordered anything that would require an order book, maybe they can count their orders on one hand? I wrote this blog to show the Top 5% are not impacted by food, fuel and day-to-day monetary struggles. I believe the imbalances are not sustainable, not sure when the other 95% grab their pitchforks and attempt to burn it down and build up something else. Not a suggestion just an history reader.
