So I jumped into the crypto space, and was really excited to start exploring smart contracts. I popped a little money into ETH for curve and Harvest, and then saw my Jaw drop at the absurd Gas prices ( which have only gotten more exaggerated ).  I remember popping $20 ETH into my Metamask, and all the transactions I wanted to make where going to cost 3 times more in GAS than I actually had. To this day it is still sitting in Metamask, Since they are now wanting a minimum of $100 to do anything with it. 

So I jumped onto Polygon Matic, the level 2 layer where the Gas fees where apparently cheaper.   And boy are they cheaper.

To fund Matic is a little problematic for smaller amounts, but to move from Binance to Matic, I used https://xpollinate.io/ .  I still prefer V1.  You basically load up a stable coin USDT, USDC or DAI, and then choose which chain you want it to move to.  Just make sure the liquidity is there to complete the transaction.  Congratulations, you are now on the Matic network.

Now all transactions on the Matic network need Matic.  I was a bit worried since transfering USDT to Matic needs Matic. Don't worry, the fees are soo low, if you run out of matic, going onto a Faucet lets you get enough to execute 100 normal transactions.  I used https://matic.supply/  and https://macncheese.finance/matic-polygon-mainnet-faucet.php .  These are only to be used to when you need them, as they check the level of matic in your account before they send any more. Don't go overboard with spamming them, as you can get banned if you take the pee. 

So now I'm on the polygon network, what to do ?  I wanted somewhere to play 2 earn,  and somewhere to stake and earn more.  For games I found https://portal.neondistrict.io/referral/cb915ffc-5bb2-4f6e-a2c0-40e94d697e28  ( the only referal page in this article ).  You send your characters out on delivery quests, and get Neon. When you get 500 Neon , you can buy a a gear pack. These NFT's can actually be listed on Opensea, and sold for wETH. 

So Now I have a small play to earn, time to find a place to make more money.  I found https://polycat.finance/ , and loved the simplicity of it. You can either buy FISH and stake it to earn PAW, or look in the farm staking for a higher APY pool. All the PAW earned is harvested with one click, and is slowly vested over 30 days.  So it takes a little while, but the returns start trickling in.  I use the earned wETH from open sea, and the completely unlocked paw, and stick that in the wETH PAW pool for 674% APR to earn more PAW. Or alternatively, at the moment you can stick PAW in the Tank to earn wMATIC. 

I have also recently found https://gamma.polypulsar.farm/ Which is a combination of Finance and Play 2 earn, and seems to be in close partnership with Polycat.  It has two tokens, GPUL and GBNT, both worth cents at the moment. But GPUL is used to buy a bounty hunter, and send him on missions. The missions rewards GBNT, which can be used for the PVP arena or polygalactic hunter which reward in different tokens . Or you can stick both these tokens into pools to earn more GPUL.  Just make sure to read up, since if you have a critical failure in the missions, your bounty hunters or pets can die, and you have to buy new ones. Recommend looking at the videos to bring you up to speed, as they cover far more than what I can in a simple post. 

And that's where I am at the moment. I have one or two more polygon sites I visit, but these are the main ones. I harvest both sites daily, and stake the earned tokens to earn more. I am aiming to get to the point where my staked tokens allow me to play bounty hunter missions daily, and Polycat supplying a daily trickle of tokens.
