A few days and the year is going to end while another one will begin. We all wonder if the next year would be better. However, our question is not convenient , instead, we have to ask ourselves if we were good enough , what we have given to ourselves and what we have given to others.  

Typically, at the end of each year, a complete inventory is made so that a person knows what he has taken out, what he has saved and what he has overlooked. An inventory, in its accounting and financial concept, is the method by which the materials inside the store are identified and monitored, by their exit and entry, to be aware of their quantity, and value. It is a universal system that is necessary to accurately determine the result of the financial year and find out the real financial position of the enterprise. Likewise all institutions, ordinary people must also make a kind of self-analysis to see what they have fulfilled as a persons towards their society and family and to find out the loopholes  they have disregarded . 

According to my readings on publish0x, many writers have submitted articles to us showcasing their financial profits that they have earned from the platform throughout the year, as well as the material profit that they have collected from other platforms and applications. All the same , from my modest point of view, the inventory is not only adopted to evaluate the material level, it must include all fields, the most important of which is our self-development. We have to determine if we have really learned enough things and that we have been able to overcome our challenges and develop our abilities. The inventory of our work throughout the year gives us a profound insight into what we have come to and the things we have not been able to achieve, to know the reasons behind our failure in any challenge that was between our eyes,as a human being, as a worker and as a member of a family. 

Actually,  through  self-analysis , each person realizes his life dealings and calculations with God as Creator, with himself as a creature, with people as a society, and with his life as a successor on the earth to populate it, where he finds himself and how he reaches balanced idealism by proving his humanity.

Though the story of Santa Claus is mythical and is not part of my culture, the image of the Santa Claus offering gifts to children who behaved nicely during the whole year is an image which was repeated myriad of times in movies, the scene stuck in my memory, I consider it as the brilliant and beautiful way to emphasize that we are called to restore our different human sides including discipline, manners and principles. Indeed, it is a great indication that self-change for the better is much more important than changing only the financial situation. To be more clear, I don't underestimate the importance of  improving the material profits because it is a life necessity that requires us to work hard and develop the quality of livelihood . Nonetheless, while doing that, we must keep in mind that transcending the level of our social dealings, relations and values is also crucial. 

As the years go by, we must improve ourselves as best as we can, just as we would like to enhance our lifestyle and material resources because  money helps us live a better life and at ease , mending ourselves  also makes our life more valuable, more advantageous and more beautiful in our eyes and in others'. 

Standing with oneself to recall the events he went through at the end of each year is healthy and useful if he decides not to repeat the mistakes he committed, the people he hurt or the duties he neglected. Doing one's job is a duty, surely rewarded by money, yet, doing goodness is a pleasure, rewarded eternally by leaving a noble trace behind .
