The third day on the island of Rhodes in the town of Faliraki brought a breakthrough in the weather. Black clouds began to give way to blue skies. More sun appeared. Interestingly, although the island is small, the weather in different places on the island can be completely different.

When the sun is shining in the north of the island, it can rain mercilessly in the south. We found this out the next day when we went to Prasonisi, but more about that in the next post.

However, regardless of the weather, we watched the evenings and sunsets from the small port in Faliraki, where of course there is a chapel and a seaside pub, whose offer we naturally took advantage of.
During one of our walks around the port, we noticed a very excited man, who was quickly moving among the moored boats, looking for something. After a moment, he got into his car and drove away. He had been gone for perhaps a few minutes when he appeared with a friend and two harpoons.

It turned out that there was a stray tuna of a decent size swimming among the boats. I filmed it, and it looked to be about 100-130 cm in size.

The gentlemen started the hunt because such a catch is a treat, a great product for restaurateurs, worth several hundred euros. Unfortunately, the hunt was unsuccessful. The tuna found the right path and left the port bay.

There is a nice restaurant in the port of Faliraki, right on the seafront with a view of the port. We often ate there because they served excellently prepared fresh fish.

We always had a cat there, who had no respect for good manners, and as soon as he saw us he would jump on the table and wait for food. Of course he got what he wanted, because how else?

By the way, the prices in this restaurant are very good, because for two portions of fish and chips (my wife got 3 different types of fish) and two draft beers I paid 27 euros. If someone says that Greece is expensive, they should come to Poland 😉
