The first day back from Jordan passed without any thermal shock. The weather was very kind, even beautiful in the sun for this time of year.

So I felt great after almost 10 hours of sleep and ready for my first walk in the park, which may not be impressive, but for me it was satisfying.

My first steps, of course, were to the park to check on my winged charges. They appeared in droves and were duly welcomed.

And by the pond, a beautiful golden autumn is upon us, or rather, the end of it. Despite this, the temperature is still pleasant, and it's worth taking advantage of the last moments of beautiful weather and full sun.
