There are many more species like this mushroom, which look like sea anemones or white worms. Colloquially, this mushroom is called fairy fingers or white spindles and in Latin Clavaria vermicularis.

It is a rare edible mushroom that can be found mainly in forests, in deciduous forests, in grass and in open areas, meadows.

Edible, however, does not mean that it is harvested. Its size and basically lack of taste and smell mean that the mushroom has no culinary use.

The mushroom does not have a separate stem and cap and resembles a white cylindrical worm and can reach up to 15 cm in length. When the mushroom is old, it turns yellowish.

The club-like shape of the mushroom has different diameters. It is thinner near the ground and widens upwards. It grows in groups.

Edible mushroom, but the fragile and delicate flesh has no perceptible taste or smell and is not suitable in the kitchen, maybe as an ornament.

Enjoy 😉
