Too Many Crypto Projects, Not Enough Trust...

By CodyMac50 | MyCripticLife | 4 Apr 2023

Over the last week I have been looking at my crypto Twitter feed looking for crypto platforms that actually might have a future.

As we know, a few are amazing, most are copies of something we've seen a hundred times before, and others are scams or possibly shady future rug pulls.

The reason I was even on Twitter was because of an airdrop that I thought had potential.

Yes, I am following Carl from the moon, since last year, but definitely not because I see anything of his as interesting, or useful, but what someone had tweeted in response to one of his tweets.

It was something like, what is your favorite DeFi project.

There were hundreds of responses, and more than a few that simply asked him to "shut up", and others that made note of his "pizza face", and others that actually answered his question.

I like the fact that a few responses made sense, but what I didn't like, is that the ones who were shilling their project, most didn't say ANYTHING about it.

Many just said $(whatevercoin) has a lot of potential, get a fat bag, and wait for the 100X...

This to me is simply lazy, and reckless. And as I was looking at some hashtags, I came across this STABLZ coin.

What an interesting concept, and I started looking into how it worked, and who was behind it...

Then, EXACTLY 2 days later, the Twitter account tweeted that something was happening to their coin, and in the comments, I found out that many of the wallets were dumping the coin on the market.

Some were calling it a soft rug pull, and others were calling them scammers. But what really got me was the folks who said things like, "riding out until this is solved..." and "this kind of FUD happens to great projects like this..."

I was shocked to see people falling for this type of obvious scam, and I felt bad.

Yes, 23 hours ago the team of STABLZ said, they were "looking into it", but does that really means anything in these times of scam and be scammed?

It's all about trust, and in my opinion, as I was looking for 3 days into my Twitter feed, there is really no way to know which team is trying to snatch your email to spam you to death, which is trying to use a phishing scam, which is looking for passwords to try and get into other accounts, and so on...

Sometimes DYOR, (do your own research) won't unveil the cracks or the hidden scam waiting.

Sometimes the "team" looks and sounds legit, and doing backgrounds and such turns out fine, only to find a few weeks later, you are unable to withdraw, or you see your money stolen.

I have decided to simply use websites that have been established for at least a year or more, and cash outs using Bitcoin.

I have zero faith in any new project, and will keep using platforms like cointiply, coinpayu, and others that I know are legit.

I don't have a problem with trading all of my alts for Bitcoin, because I know that there are places, legit places, that accept it for goods and services.

I posted recently about Bitrefill, and how I spend crypto on just about everything from food to shoes, frappes to portable chargers, books, to brussel sprouts.

There is everything for everyone on Bitrefill, and you can top up your account with several different cryptos.

They have earned my trust by following through with what they say concerning crypto, and helping people live off it.

So, while Carl is being told to "shut up" and told that moisturizer should work well, we should keep stacking sats and maybe not ape, or jump into anything until it has some time behind it...

Thanks for reading, and don't forget to let me know in the comments below your thoughts on trust in the crypto space...👇
