There are patterns in history that the almighty set so believers would be able to understand what was coming in THEIR time.
Just as Moses took the Israelites out of Egypt, with signs and wonders, so too did Yashua, (Jesus) perform signs and miracles to take his brothers and sisters out of their sins.
Many people, atheists included, clearly see the parallels, when it comes to Moses and Yashua. The murdering of the children, the signs and wonders performed, and other such things.
But what isn't clearly seen, are two things...#1, the individuals involved, and #2, the events that took place.
Why would Moses need to be raised by pharaoh? Other than him being "drawn out of the water" what was the point of his name? Why was his sister mentioned so many times? What was the real point being made about the sea of reeds crossing, and why 40 years wandering? Also, what was the point of the "manna from heaven".
Many people have said over the years that these are amazing stories, and they can even see the parallels between Moses and Yashua, and the manna and Yashua saying he is the bread that came down from heaven.
Exodus 12 shows that the lamb was supposed to be "of the FIRST year, without blemish". Every believer correctly understands that this is referring to Yashua. But fail to understand that he HAD TO BE "of the FIRST year as well.
No bones would be broken: ✔️.
No bad words would he say: ✔️.
He would be beaten and abused:✔️.
The sins of us would be placed on him: ✔️
He is the WORD of God: ✔️
He is the son of God: ✔️
He is the suffering servant: ✔️
By his stripes we are healed: ✔️
His ministry was ONE year: ❌
Christians believe that because there are three passovers described in John, then obviously his ministry was three years.
This is wrong, because he HAD TO BE a male lamb of the FIRST YEAR. Period. So how is this possible that he had to be of his first year, but John describes three (3) passovers?
It's that John chapter 2 is the beginning of his ministry, and his baptism was on the first day of the first month. The same time when Moses had finished setting up the tabernacle, and on the first day of the first month, the glory of the almighty filled it.
This was the day of his baptism by John the Immerser, (baptist). Three gospels show that he immediately went into the wilderness for 40 days. Only the book of John says nothing about this.
The reason was because the "wilderness" with the "wild animals" and other was his country. It was a spiritual wilderness. He was attacked by "the devil" which, in this context, was his own mind trying to trick him into misusing his father's favor.
The water to wine, and even up to when his disciples practically begged him to eat, are all the proof we need to understand that his 40 days ended on IYYAR 10, or what is known as the second month. His first food wasn't eaten until sundown on the 10th of the second month.
But why is this important? Because just 3 1/2 days later, was a very important day. We first read about it in Exodus chapter 16, and again read about it in Numbers chapter 9. It was the very day, the 15th of Iyyar, that the "bread from heaven" was given to the Israelites.
This we read about, the fulfillment, in John chapter 6. After Yashua breaks the bread and feeds the multitude, the people start talking about "the prophet" that is to come into the world.
But the 5,000 men who saw the miracle didn't just end there. They were going to force him to become king, and later said to him that Moses gave the Israelites manna. They too wanted this bread every day.
This event in Exodus 16, and Numbers 9 was on the 14th of the SECOND month, or also known as the "second passover" of the year. It was given because if people were on a journey, or had "touched a dead body", they weren't allowed to partake of the Nisan/Abib 14 passover. They were to wait a month.
The book of John describes nearly all of the feasts in perfect order, and does not skip an entire year from chapter 2 to chapter 6. This "passover of the Jews" in John 6 was only a month after the events of chapters 1-5.
Technical analysis shows that his ministry was ONE year and 13 days. That was because he had to be the lamb slain of the first year.
There is a small pamphlet I wrote about this subject, and other subjects, if you want, I send them out for free.
