Hello friends! I am here to bring you another small article about an NFT project that I believe has a lot of potentials. Before we start, I want to warn you that this is not financial advice, I am just presenting to you things that I'm invested in or things that seem interesting to me. Now that this is out of the way, let's begin.
What is an NFT?
Well, NFT stands for "Non-Fungible Token" and according to Wikipedia, an NFT is "a unique and non-interchangeable unit of data stored on a blockchain, a form of digital ledger.". More simply, an NFT is a small digital asset that can't be duplicated, even if someone screenshots an NFT that you have, it doesn't mean he stole your NFT. NFTs are bound to the wallet in which are held. But if someone has access to your wallet, well this is a different story(in a bad way), that's why you should always keep your secret phrase, SECRET.
Now, if you buy an NFT maybe you buy it because you like the art and you want to own it, but these days people don't buy NFTs only for the art but for the perks, it brings, for example: "I believe everybody heard about BAYC(Bored Ape Yacht Club), one very cool thing and the reason a lot of celebrities bought one is because if you own one you can have access to private luxury parties in real life, which is pretty cool.". In other words, NFTs aren't just art, in a lot of cases they are a new type of stocks, investments, etc.
Eight Bit Mafia (EBM):
EBM is the first NFT project that I minted, I ain't gonna lie to you, the first thing that caught my eye was the art, I am a big fan of pixel art and this was what EBM was offering which was pretty cool. But I am not one of the guys who only care about the art when it comes to NFTs, I care more about the perks. So when I discovered them I decided to join their discord, and let me tell you, I wasn't disappointed at all.
One of the things that I love about the EBM community, it's also one of the things that I first observed, and it's the fact that if you ask a question about something, a lot of people want to help you, and if they don't know the answer they will ping someone that has the answer. I was very impressed with this in the EBM community, mostly because I've seen other communities where if you ask something you won't get an answer for days.
The second thing that I liked about this project was what these guys are trying to achieve. They are trying to achieve COLLECTIVE WEALTH, which to me sounded interesting. But through this they don't mean money, but, with their own words:

If you've had an idea for a project but had no clue on where to start, this is where your family comes in. As a holder of our NFTs, you will get an easily accessible resource to pitch your idea to The Council - all projects we back will come down to a community vote, and we will supply funding, artists, and Web3 tech to bring it to life. Stick around and you'll be collecting NFTs without investing any of your own money!"
From all this big explanation from their roadmap, the one thing that make me invest was the 3rd point, "Future Projects". They created a way for artists or developers who want to create an NFT based project but don't have funding or enough resources, to build their ideas, they created a "Shark Tank" for the NFT world!
And if you think that they won't do it or something like this, you are wrong my friend, because there is a project that's already in the making and it's backed by the EBM family, a land-based game.
They also did another interesting thing, EBM is still in the minting phase but they already created a community treasury where they added 10 thousand dollars for future projects, investments, etc.
One more perk that I like is that for every 3 minted NFTs you have, after a 3-4 weeks hold period they will airdrop you a 3d Mobster, but these 3d NFTs have a supply of only 250 so pretty low and as of now 60+ have already been created and airdropped.
Let's talk about prices a little, if you mint one NFT you have to pay 0.055 eth + gas fee. But if you mint 3 you will only pay 0.141 eth + gas for all of them so each of the NFTs will only be 0.47 eth so a pretty good discount in my opinion.
